Spring is in the air and so are the construction projects! Before things get going for the summer let’s take a look at the construction projects that will be affecting traffic flow and the neighborhood in the area of East Sprague from South Perry Street to South Altamont in the East Central Neighborhood and along the I-90 Corridor. East Sprague Construction (Phase 1) (Orange area on map)
Street and Stormwater project consisting of pavement replacement, storm water removed from combined sewer overflow (CSO) Basin 34 and updates to existing signals to function for the 3-lane roadway.
When: July 15 through October 15
Where: Hamilton Street and Stone Street
Ferry-Altamont Arterial Connector
When: April 1 through July 15
Where: Connection from Altamont to Ferry St.
East Sprague Construction (Phase 2) (Green area on the map)
Construction along East Sprague from S. Hogan Street to just a little past S. Magnolia Street will be the installment of the new streetscape along Sprague. The streetscape will include new bump-outs, pedestrian infrastructure (benches, trash cans & lighting), pedestrian traffic refuge islands as well as new trees and greenery will be added to the corridor.
Alternative Routes: Traffic will be diverted to the north and south of E. Sprague on to E. 1st Ave to the south and E.Riverside to the north. Neighbors be aware of increased traffic in your neck of the woods during this project.
When: Mid-July and Mid-October

Construction for this project is near the intersection of Lee Street and Riverside Ave. While this project is under construction E. Riverside Ave. adjacent to the project location will be closed.
Alternative Route: Traffic will be E Main Ave. E. Sprague to the south will be closed due to the Phase 1 streetscape project until mid-July.
When: June 2017 to the end of 2018
Where: Between the intersection of E. Riverside Ave. & Crestline and E. Riverside Ave. & Lee St.

Construction for this project is near the intersection of Riverside Ave and Napa Street intersection. While this project is under construction E. Riverside Ave. adjacent to the project location will be closed. Napa St. will be closed for two one week periods.
When: Summer 2017
